Videos, Games, and Reports
- TNO video on Smart Contracts in Logistics. WATCH HERE WATCH ON YOUTUBE TNO PAGE
TNO has developed a commodity stock ledger for commodity trading. The final objective was to improve commodity trading by improving stock positions across organizational boundaries. Other objectives were to improve efficiency of internal processes and trigger payments. The video shows the working of the ledger and its application for smart contracts.
- Buurman, K. & Hofman, W. Supply Chain Management to Create Tax & Trade Visibility - Realising a Blockchain Based Solution for Logistics in Industry. TNO, 2021. (pdf)
TNO created this TKI Dinalog report based on the Henkel case study “TransSonic Supply chain management Tax & Trade Visibility”. The project, a collaboration project between TNO, Xedum and Henkel, developed a blockchain (distributed semantic ledger) solution to define an industry-wide standard for data exchange of tax and customs information across companies and authorities. Blockchain (BC) based on BigChainDB was selected as technological backbone of the solution due to its unique combination of features such as immutability of data, encryption and decentralization.
- TU Delft Trust Game, also known as the FreightBooking Game, focusing on the importance of "trust" in logistics organization that is based on booking platforms. For playing, an account is needed -- see Contact Page for TU Delft contacts. The login page for the gsame can be found at https://trustgame.tbm.tudelft.nl/trustgame
In the FreightBooking serious game, you are a representative of a shipping company. Through a platform, you work together with different carriers to transport your goods to the hinterland. Based on the different customer orders, you have to find a suitable carrier to transport the goods. However, does the carrier meet your expectations? And does the carrier not take advantage of the situation? In 7 rounds, you as a player receive different orders from different types of customers. But, first, you have to make sure that your company fulfils its goal: transporting goods cheaply and sustainably that meet the customer's requirements.
